There is enough room in the sky to accommodate as many stars as possible. Your light doesn’t dim when you ignite someone else’s flame. It just makes the world shine that much brighter. Believe me when I say you are enough, just as you are. Making decisions based on pressure, competition or thinking that someone else is shining brighter than you, I guarantee will always end up in disaster and out of alignment with God’s plan for your life.

There’s always competition in the world, but you don’t have to participate in it. You can always choose to empower others. If you compete with others, you may not win. If you compete with yourself, you always win by becoming better. Just because your neighbor paints their home doesn’t mean your home isn’t nice or you need to go in debt to paint yours. That spirit of competition, envy, and jealousy will hinder your growth and block your blessings.

Most people see the results, but they do not know what it takes. My life has not been a walk in the park. I’ve been through hell and back and I finally learned to surrender and let go and let God. It took sweat, blood and tears to get here, and He is still not done with me. I don’t think you want to walk in my shoes. You would have to be willing to go through everything that I’ve been through to get the same results but why? Your shoes fit perfectly, and you were created in God’s image to fulfill your own destiny. Most people don’t want to be part of the process; they just want to be part of the outcome. But the process is where you figure out who’s worth being part of the outcome. To become a diamond, you must go through fire. How far are you willing to go, how far will you push yourself to become the best? Are you willing to go through the process? Are you willing to go through fire?

The results you are seeing today have taking close to thirty years. One lesson I have learned is that waiting on God’s timing is hard and His timeline is almost never aligned with the one we desire. Yet, his timing is always perfect. I’ve had to wait on the Lord when others were moving passed me, and that’s okay. I am convinced that His timing is perfect. God is not a man, so he does not lie. He is not human, so he does not change his mind. Has he ever spoken and failed to act? Has he ever promised and not carried it through? -Numbers 23:19

My life is a testament of His grace. No matter who you are, your past, what you have done or what you are facing today, if you set your mind and heart on Christ, there is always hope of eternal life and a future, so you shouldn’t worry. Stay focused, let them drive passed you, they must get to their destination but trust me when I say, that you will get to yours at the perfect time. Celebrate the success of others. Be just as enthusiastic about the success of others as you are about your own. Do not rush seasons and do not rush to eat tomorrow, today. Be so focused on watering your grass that you don’t even have time to check if somebody else grass is greener. God bless you!
